2015 AAJA National Convention

Gain first hand knowledge of what it takes to make it as a national TV correspondent. With the options to consume news, information and entertainment continuously changing, correspondents must be effective and versatile storytellers that suit the medium of choice for consumers. This daylong interactive workshop will provide participants with the necessary tools to build on existing skills in order to go from local reporter to national correspondent. Leaders from the broadcast and cable news industry will join as special guests to provide their insights.

Workshop topics will include: master storytelling, writing with focus, on-air performance, managing your image, interviewing skills, enterprising, journalism ethics, and the age of digital and social media.
